Lauryn Pinard is a Franco-Haitian multidisciplinary artist based in London. Her practice spans photography, filmmaking, research and dance while celebrating movement, memory and her cultural identity. She graduated in 2022 with a MA from University of Roehampton for which she received the Prize for Best Independent Practice and Performance Project and trained with Francis Angol, Tabanka Dance Ensemble and Emilia Robinson as well as performed with Georgia Tegou, ARDC and the Venus Bush Fires amongst others. She was artist-in-résidence at Academy Mews Dance Studio in Autumn 2022 and her work featured at the Dancing with Decolonisation 2022 conference, Serendipity Institute of Black Arts and Heritage’s BlackInk vol.4, BlackCentric Digital Week Dance in The City and 100 Black Women Who Have Made a Mark.
