Kah’Loca
A new outdoor performance celebrating female strength and resilience. KAH’LOCA is a multigenerational outdoor work of dance-theatre. Dressed in bright colours with flamboyant funky headpieces, 6 women aged 13-60 use movement and voice to challenge the narrative of what it means to be a woman and bring to public attention the sheer scale of violence against women. This piece is a collection of stories, testimonials and protests expressed through movement & sound, performed by survivors.

WomanEwer’s aim is to make the stories of women and girls in KAH’LOCA capable of symbolising a desire for everyone to have their own voice, to speak out, be bold and step up for themselves, empowering the harmed and shaping once mute spaces.
Nicolette Wilson-Clarke, creates a space for audience members to come as they are and as they feel in the moment with reassurance that there is a professional therapist to support their thoughts and feelings before, during and/or after the performance. Nicolette will be visibly available to listen and offer words of comfort, safeguarding & mental health first aid. This is pioneering and trail blazing care for show audiences!
