Dancer. Model. Yoga teacher.
Originally from France, Laura has worked as a dancer and a choreographer for ten years, specialising in contemporary dance and partner acrobatics. She completed her degree in Dance and Media & cultural studies at Kingston University in 2014 and took an apprenticeship with Jasmin Vardimon in 2017.
Laura currently the artistic director of Womanewer and co-founded Hardly Lucky Dance Theatre. She also works with Van Huynh Dance Company and Etta Ermini Dance Theatre in London. She taught and performed in France, the UK and also in India, New Caledonia, Vietnam, Spain and Italy.
She fell in love with yoga and acro-yoga in Bali in 2005 and practiced yoga alongside her dancing since then, to increase flexibility and to restore her body from several injuries. The immediate and long term effects on both her mind and body encouraged her to complete her 200 hrs Yoga Alliance Accredited teacher training with Yoga Course.

WOMANWER

‘Connecting & empowering Women through the arts’
A multidisciplinary project that combines speech, movement whilst addressing violence against women, who, all over the world fall victim to abuse, assault and rape on a daily basis. The work explores the repeated occurrence of these gestures to contrast the constant abuse with the daily caring roles and to challenge the limiting narratives of what it means to be a woman.

ĐẸP
by Van Huynh Co at Dance Bridges Festival
ĐẸP is a Vietnamese word that translates as ‘beautiful’, and is also the starting point for Dam Van Huynh’s dance work that explores the nature of the human condition, taking inspiration from his Southeast Asian heritage. Van Huynh Co took this work to Kolkata, India for Dance Bridges Festival by Vanessa Mirza. The piece was taught to the local dancers, along with workshops and then performed in the city of Kolkata in different on site locations.

In the heart of Valence, a small city in the South East of France, Laura was a regular dancer and choreographer for a vibrant Drag show (2014-2015). She would confection costumes, choreograph and perform in between acts. By far one of the most fabulous and sparkling experience.

PILLOW FIGHT

Combining dance, acro yoga and theatre, "Pillow Fight” features two wacky and endearing characters in an atmosphere that combines humor, dance and acrobatics. A bed, which seems to have fallen from the sky, is used by our two artists to throw themselves in, on and off and reproducing familiar scenes we all know.
